Privacy Policy

Last updated January 2026

Nuvanta Cloud is in private beta. This document is a plain-language summary of our intended terms and is not yet a final legal agreement. Final terms will be published before paid plans launch.

What we collect

Account data: your name, email address, billing details and GST number if you provide one. Device data: the machine name, operating system, backup status and storage totals reported by the client.

Backup content: the files you choose to protect. These are encrypted on your device before upload. We hold file metadata — path, size, timestamps and version count — so we can show you your backup and restore it.

What we do not collect

We do not scan, index for advertising, sell, or share your file contents. In Private Key Mode we cannot read them at all, because the key never leaves your device.

Where data is stored

Primary backup storage is in Indian data centre regions. Account and billing records are stored alongside it. If that ever changes, we will say so on this page before it takes effect.

Retention

Version history is retained according to your plan. When you delete a device or cancel your account, backup data is scheduled for deletion after a 30-day grace period, so an accidental cancellation is recoverable.

Your rights

You can request an export of your account data, correction of inaccurate details, or deletion of your account and all associated backups. Write to us and we will confirm within 30 days.
